Puerto Rico’s recovery efforts have taken another blow since the crippling storms made landfall between 2017 and 2019. Early January 2020 shook the island once again with a series of major earthquakes.
Contributions to the Puerto Rico Support Fund will help provide much-needed funding to organizations working toward restoring power, repairing homes, businesses and schools, securing meals and clean water, and/or finding mental health care for residents of Puerto Rico.
The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee is a trusted, local nonprofit with years of disaster response experience researching and providing designated funding to areas with the greatest need.
Previous recovery efforts in Puerto Rico included our partnership with Team Rubicon USA, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams. Generous funding from the Middle Tennessee community and beyond was designated to restore homes and rebuild lives with the help of Team Rubicon’s boots on the ground efforts.
