The W.O. Smith/Nashville Community Music School provides music instruction to children from low-income families for 50 cents a lesson. The students are taught by an all-volunteer faculty of 100 musicians and teachers, drawn from every segment of the Nashville community. Instruments and music materials are loaned to students at no additional cost. This scholarship endowment aids talented W.O. Smith students who choose music as a college major.
