Rutherford County is committed to ending violence and discrimination in the lives of victims suffering the pain, fear and shame of domestic abuse. The Domestic Violence Program is a key part of those efforts providing programs such as emergency shelter, legal advocacy, children’s and elders’ services, counseling services, and rape and sexual assault programs. This Fund is designed to make sure that as long as these challenges exist, funds will be available.
