The mission of Family & Children’s Service is to give real help for real hurt right now. For more than 65 years, they have provided trauma counseling for children and adolescents who are witnesses or victims of violence, Crisis Center counseling, clinical assessments, consultation and training for foster and adoptive parents to help special needs children find loving homes, and free and sliding scale counseling for at-risk youth, welfare to work families and those who could not otherwise afford mental health care.
