In a country where extreme poverty, chaotic government and natural disasters have become a way of life, the St. Joseph Worker Foundation benefits the people of Haiti by providing sponsorships for needy children to attend school and emergency assistance for poor families faced with medical and basic living expenses. Jane and Dick Wildeman, who established this fund, have seen the good work being done and rely on the assistance of Pere Michelin Pierre, a Haitian priest, and Rose-Michel Joseph, a graduate of the foundation’s Student Sponsor Program, to coordinate their efforts in Haiti and distribute financial aid to the needy children and families receiving assistance from the foundation.
