The Springfield High School Athletic Association was established in 2012 by the administration of Springfield High School in an effort to help establish athletic facilities on campus. The administration of Springfield High School prioritizes and directs the use of funds raised by SHSAA based on the needs of the various athletic programs. Since 2016, the Robertson County Board of Education has taken more ownership and responsibility for the construction of athletic facilities on school campuses. As a result, SHSAA has been able to expand its focus on lending financial support to the maintenance of the current facilities as well as celebrating the rich tradition of Springfield athletics both past and present.
